Yes, she will be fine. She got maybe half to one and a half cozaar 100mg pills. They gave her charcoal and monitored her. She's doing perfectly fine. I thank everyone for your prayers and concerns.

We will keep an eye on her through the night.

You're welcome. I am beyond relieved. I'm sitting here on the couch cuddling with her now, and she's doing fine. Way too stressful a situation to go through though.

i worked on cozaar/hyzaar back around 2006-7. good drug, when your kids aren't getting into it.

i'm sure your bp has been on a bit of a ride today.

glad to hear everything is ok.

I'm sure it was on a ride. It was my poor mother in law's meds she got into. I thought she was going to have to be admitted as well.

Thank you, as are we... it was a scary few hours for sure. She never acted out of sorts or anything like that, but it was still extremely scary. She had an IV in, and it had to be changed because the needle bent inside her arm, and her arm swelled up majorly. It was awful seeing her in pain from getting the needle, and she yelled "it hurt!" when they were redoing the IV. I think I wanted to cry as much as she did.

As a parent, I think this was possibly one of the most terrifying things I've had to endure. I'm extremely protective of my little girl, and she means the world to me. I don't know what I would do if this didn't turn out the way it did.

Very scary - hope it's the worst thing she has to experience for a long, long time.

We had a lead paint scare with our oldest when he was really little, and they needed to draw blood to make sure he was okay. He's had stitches since and a broken arm, but that was the worst; my wife wouldn't even come in the room. So hard when they're in pain and are too young to understand why...

It really is scary. Yeah, I hope it's the worst, as well. She's a trooper though, and a fighter. I think it really is just as hard for the parents. I don't care if you're tough enough to gargle nails and eat sandpaper, if your child is going through something, nothing will keep your emotions in check.
